WHAT WE BELIEVE
I. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, written and preserved as God’s message to man.
II. We believe in one God, who is self-existent, holy, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, and who manifested Himself to man as the Eternal Father, the Eternal Son, and the Eternal Holy Spirit. In this Godhead, there are three distinct Persons of one substance, power and eternity.
III. We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, truly God and truly man, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. That He died on the cross, shed His blood as a propitiation for our sin and its consequences.
That He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of Father God, interceding for the Saints.
IV. We believe in the literal return of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth, to judge all mankind. There will be a literal resurrection of the dead, with the believer going from judgment into everlasting blessedness, and the unbeliever going form judgment into everlasting punishment.
V. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Person, the third Person of the Godhead. That He takes up His abode in one’s life at the moment of accepting Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. That the baptism with the Holy Spirit is a step further than the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in one’s relationship with the Holy Spirit. That the baptism with the Holy Spirit is a further yielding of one’s life to the Spirit, who magnifies the presence of God, and manifests the power of God, in and through the yielded believer. That being filled with and led by the Spirit, is a higher step in one’s relationship with the Spirit, than the Indwelling of, and Baptism with the Spirit. That to be filled with the Spirit, is to be controlled by the Spirit, and is a repeated action or experience.
